Simon Van Heddegem

Simon Van Heddegem started his journey in the world of dance at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp. He danced with various renowned companies, including the Royal Ballet of Flanders (2008-2010), Staatstheater Ballett Nürnberg (2010-2015), Ballett, Oper Graz (2015-2018), and Zfinmalta (2018-2020). In his career he worked with choreographers like: Marcia Haydeé, George Balanchine, Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe, Christian Spuck, Goyo Montero, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger, Crystal Pite, Mauro Bigonzetti, Nacho Duato, Jörg Weinöhl, Jaione Zabala, Ainara Navarro, Helge Letonja, Paolo Mangiola, Jacopo Godani, Jorge Crecis, Rosemary Lee, Sergiu Matis, Chiara Frigo, among other.

After his career as a dancer, Simon pursued further education at HfMDK Frankfurt, focusing on Contemporary Dance Education from 2021 to 2023. Currently, he shares his passion for dance by teaching at different institutions in Hessen. In early 2024, Simon joined the tanzszene team, contributing to the promotion and development of dance in the region and committed to passing on his knowledge to other generations.
