Ariadni Agnanti

Ariadni Agnanti was born in Greece in 1999. After 8 years of dancing in a dance school in her hometown, she decided to study dance professionally. At the age of 18 she got accepted to the Greek National Opera Professional Dance School where she got to work with Daphnis Kokkinos, a dancer of the Pina Bausch Company; this experience was what motivated her to study dance abroad.

She got accepted to the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts for the Bachelor Dance Program in 2018. There she studied contemporary and ballet technique under the direction of Dieter Heitkamp. She has attended workshops such as Pina Bausch’s, Akram Khan’s, Hofesh Shechter’s and Forsythe’s repertoire, Gaga practice, Flying-low technique and Counter technique. She danced in creations by Peter Mika, Kristel Van Issum, Cyril Baldy, Stephanie Thiersch, Toula Limnaios, Regina van Berkel, Dieter Heitkamp; from whom she received strong impulse and new experiences in Improvisation.

She collaborated in the interdisciplinary project “Neue Musik Nacht” (2019 and 2021) and in choreographies of her student colleagues throughout all the years of her studies. In July 2021 she presented her own choreographic work in the framework of the “Tanz Marathon” of her university. Since September 2020 she is a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.

She has been accepted into the database of the agency ZAV-Künstlervermittlung TANZ since March 2021.

Since 2022 she is freelancing in Frankfurt, highlighting a project for young audiences with Hennermann’s Horde, collaborations with the composer Farzia Fallah, with the photographer Laura Brichta, and dancing in the frame of “Transforming Frankfurt Fashion week”. In general she is interested in explorative ways of working, the theatricality of dance and she is open-minded to new experiences and challenges.
